Benjamin Franklin gives Mary writing tips at a Franklin School event in Rockville, Maryland

Interested in penning your own children's book?

I teach courses in Writing for Children at the Georgetown University School for Continuing Education (202/687-5942) in Washington, D.C., and the Writer's Center in Bethesda, Maryland (301/654-8664). Contact them directly for course catalogs.

I also frequently speak at conferences and lead workshops lasting from two to five hours. I've been teaching creative writing to people of all ages for more than sixteen years at schools, universities, conferences, libraries, and senior centers. I feel lucky, indeed, to work with those exploring their creativity. Contact mary@maryquattlebaum.com to book a workshop at a conference, library, or parent-teacher event. (Please note: I do not give private consultations, but the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators may be able to help you. Contact www.scbwi.org.)
